To create the main title, add a Content block to the 'Feature' area, insert text and make it an H1 by selecting 'h1' or 'heading 1' from the format drop down.

When you put your home page in "edit mode", you'll find the top area of the page (outlined in a dotted red line shows it's an editable area) is labeled "add to Feature"

PS. Clicking on that area will prompt you to "add Block" etc. Click add block... select content and a editor will open up where you can choose your type of text etc.
