Connecting to Community

I recently set up C5 for my site. I have been using C5 for several months. When I want to connect to community it does not seem to what to connect. I get a very strange looking
screen. It is as if it were another C5 sitemap. I have attached an capture of what I see. I am not able to click on add-in nor any other thing I should be able to select. Any Help would be appreciated.

Cheers,
Erich

I'm new to Concrete5 have the very same problem. Further, When I login to the admin end, I invariably get a message the I've entered a wrong password, then a screen appears telling me I'm already logged in and I get a setup which has nothing to do with my site but shows a picture of a period house with the name of a Russian (?) photographer, a lot of junck blocks etc. And a link to my actual site. Thjis is really, really annoying and is beginning to make me want to uninstall Concret5 and go elsewhere. Can anybody tell me how to get rid of this junk?

You can delete the unwanted blocks from the Dashboard Welcome page by clicking the 'Customise' link in the black band under the login image of the day. This puts the page into Edit mode and you can select and delete the unwanted blocks.

If you want to change the overall login image this add-on may help?

Ok, thanks. I actually just don't want it there, I would prefer to have the whole thing gone and go straight into my own site without being forced to jump through a couple hoops first...

If you don't want to see the welcome page at all and go straight into your site after logging in you can change this in the settings. It's explained in the link below...

In theory this might be so, but in reality it doesn't work. I still need to manually go to the dashboard, click on the site map and then visit the home page that way. Extremely annoying I must say...

Hi Erich,

this has been a problem for a while now and I have had this issue also. It appears to display an iFrame with the login window displayed in it but as you mentioned the height of the window is too narrow.
I have managed to navigate and scroll to the login form fields by making sure the iFrame is clicked and active and then scroll down through the iFrame with my mouse to then fill out the form and click the button.

A couple of other things to try is emptying the Browser Cache (not the CMS cache) and what also worked for me was trying a different web browser. I usually use Chrome but tried Firefox to connect and everything looked and worked perfectly.

I hope this works for you?

I want to say thank you for your response. I was able to get things back to normal. I somehow managed to delete the unusual display and now all seems to display correctly. Again thank you for your help.

Cheers,
Erich
