Custom Background texture in Silence

I just switched to the Silence Theme and I would like to add a custom pattern to my body page, but I am clearly not doing it right. How should I go about it?
Go to your dashboard and you should see the category "theme silence" from this click backgrounds. Select custom pattern on the area you want to change, nav, body etc.. and load yours in.
Can I load a .jpeg file? When I try do do this it shows up a blank page?
you should be able to load jpeg but I am nearly positive it must be small 32x32 for example as I believe it cannot be larger than the space your applying it to. Try a small jpeg and see wher you get.
When I go to Dashboard -> theme-silence -> Background or Option Presets nothing comes up...no info window like with the other links...just the photo in the back. I've tried re-uploading the Dashboard files. Help.
Try using a different browser, firefox, safari, chrome if it works there than it could be add-ons in the browser your using now causing the issue.
