Extra page types after theme swap
Permalink
I'm sure this is a silly question but I was experimenting by swapping out my theme for some others. When I returned to my original theme, my 'Page Types' page was packed with a bunch of random page types that aren't part of my original theme. When you swap out a theme, shouldn't C5 install just the page types from the new theme and remove the page types from the old theme (or am I missing something obvious)? It's a pain to go through and delete the ones that don't belong.
I tried removing a theme but that doesn't remove the page types associated only with that theme.
A theme's specific page types don't seem to get installed if you just 'Activate' a theme. First you have to 'Inspect' the theme and click the 'Ok' button. That process seems odd to me and not very intuitive IMHO.
I guess I'll have to remove them by hand but it seems strange that the system can't do this automatically.

I'm not able to tell you the exact reason for that, but I suppose it's because you may have or need one of those specific page types.
Did you try uninstalling some of the themes? The page types should go away if you do that.
Try that and post back if it works for you.
