Find out an existing sites server

I have taken on editing of a group site, I can edit the basics but now need to upgrade the version and want to tweak the theme.
The problem is I don't know where it is hosted. Is there any way I can find out as it stands I have only the end of the extension;
/var/www/xyz/files

try running the site through http://www.whois.net to see if there is any info there that will lead you in the right direction. I just tried on one of my sites and bluehost definately stood out ;)
Thanks for that, I tired but wasn't able to find any useful information.
1- at the cmd, type: "tracert mysite.com", wait till trace complete, then copy last ip address
2- go to the http://whatismyipaddress.com/ip-lookup... and paste the above ip, you should find some useful info about that ip address.

Post the URL, then we may be able to find the information you need.
