Free theme with settings page

I'm working on developing a theme and there are a few features that I'd like to have as settings. Does C5 have a mechanism in place for settings? I'm not referring to CSS style settings. This would be things like "Copyright Statement" (text input), "Include AddThis Layers" (yes/no) and so on. I want to avoid reinventing the wheel on this if there is any existing method for this. Could not find any documentation on it so far.

On a related note can anyone point me to a free theme that has this sort of settings page where you can configure options for the theme?

Check out the Boilerplate package. outlines pretty much everything you can do/install with a package. I think you'll find what you're looking for.

Specifically, im thinking what you may be looking for is the page attributes, look in the package controller for how it's done.

Thanks I'll check it out. I found it doesn't work with 5.6.2.1 but I'll look through the code to see how they solve this.
