How to change pre-filled local areas?

I am working in the Cosmos theme and it does something I don't understand: when I add a Blog page , the right sidebar is already filled in: with a heading and 2 pagelists (even though these areas are not global!). Also there's a social media block, which is fine.

The two pagelists that already have this default content are not the type/design I want, and it doesn't filter the right part of the tree.
So: how can I change which default blocks go where myself?

The heading that's prefilled also doesn't have the correct text. It says "featured posts" (which isn't true, since none of the posts are actual featured pages) so how can I change this globally somewhere..?
It would be really annoying for my clients I - every time they write a blog - they would have to change all the filtering and tree options and delete most stuff before publishing.

(I'm also interested in how I can create these pre-filled areas myself for my own developed themes).

Hi jiropii,

It sounds like you are dealing with page type defaults. The page type defaults allow you to set up default content and settings for a page type template (a page type can use multiple page templates).
Dashboard > Pages & Themes & Page Types > your Blog page type > Output button > Edit Defaults

That's the solution, thanks!
