how to include a toggle icon in a concrete 5 them using bootstrap 3

i'm working on a c5 bootstrap 3 theme and i would like to include the toggle icon to collapse the links in my left-sidebar when screen is small. i have no header navigation, only sidebar-navigation. the same goes for the up-arrow, which appears on the lower right side when scrolled down. i have various snippets, but i don't know where to include them.

Take a look at how to customize the Autonav block template. There is a good article by Jordan Lev on how to go about this.
