How to Pin the Left-Hand Navigation Stack

Hello folks,

I have created a C5 theme (using Dreamweaver) that includes a left-hand navigation stack on every page.

When using the Internet Explorer or Firefox browsers, as I insert content in the centre column of the website, the left-hand nav stack moves downwards on the page.

(Using the Google Chrome browser, there is no problem. The left-hand nav stack stays pinned at the top of the page.)

Can anyone please suggest how to pin the left-hand nav stack so it stays in position at the top of the page, when using any browser including Internet Explorer and Firefox?

The URL of the site is: http://christinssalon.co.uk/ChristinSalon...

Hey there,

looking at the source code i see that you are using tables to build the site - which is - medieval :-)

Try using a tableless layout as they come with dreamweaver, for your site I suggest one with a fixed-width left sidebar and a flexible-width main content area.

Splitting this one up to a c5 theme should take like 10 minutes with all the stuff you need :-) Styling the navigation might take some more minutes, but should be possible :-)

OR - make yourself a easy life and use the concrete5 custom theme greek yoghurt and change the css to how you want it to look like. should be easy also :-)

Are you comfortable with HTML and CSS ?

Hey Cahueya,

Thanks for the suggestions.

The problem has now been solved, by using Dreamweaver to put the left-hand nav stack in a Layer rather than in a table.
