Making pages a bit wider in Stucco Theme
Permalink
Hi there, I'm pretty new at CSS and Concrete5 but I'd like to make the pages a little bit wider in the Stucco Theme and change the templates used to be less business orientated. If possible I'd like to turn the job application section into a list of permanent articles about health. Can anyone tell me how to do this?
Thanks a lot. Please assume I don't know anything!

Sure! Thank you!
I couldn't get it to work, lol. I don't know why. :P
If you can tell me the address of the file I need to edit and the specific line I think I could do it though!

Take a look at the main.less file located at packages/theme_stucco/themes/stucco/css/main.less
and find lines 277 and 308, the min-width for screen sizes of 1200px is declared there.
This should get you started.
I would turn off all caching and clear the cache first.

Thanks a lot. How do I clear the cashe?
In the dashboard menu. Go under System & Settings > Clear Cache
Thanks a lot. :) Unfortunately I have uninstalled Concrete5 as I just can't get it to do any of the things I want it to. Can't make page templates or anything. Sorry to waste all your time. :P
Sorry to hear you are still having issue. But I would be more then glad to help you get C5 working the way you want. I've used other CMS such as wordpress and Drupal. C5 templating system is very and straight forward and easy to use when get the hang of it.
Well, if you have a tutorial or two or can tell me that would be amazing. I can still re upload it all. To be honest, all I really wanted to do was take the article list feature from the Job application page from stucco and use it to make a list of articles on health. I got most of the way there, but I couldn't work out how to make the blocks link to the template, or how to make my template the default so it wouldn't turn back into the job interview page the instant I made a new page..
I got as far as making the back-end part that that let me edit a page, but I could not get any of the blocks to link up to the editor no matter what I did. None of the instructions for doing any of this seemed to be updates, and even with static pages and zero content on the site it was crazy slow to load. I tried tutorials but all of them seem broken.
If you have a solution or a tutorial that would let me make my site, that would be lovely! I did like a lot about Concrete5 it was just that customising it was like shifting five tons of concrete. :P

I would be more then happy to show you how to do this. It would be easier if I walked you though it step by step. Find me in the concrete5 slack grouphttp://www.concrete5.org/slack.... My user name is stewblack23.
