N00b attempting first theme design needs help.

I've been dabbling with a few tutorials on creating my own theme (http://hungred.com/how-to/tutorial-making-a-template-for-concrete5/).

I thought I followed everything perfectly but find, after uploading, it appears my theme loads properly but can't find the style.css file.

I set up the html in Dreamweaver and all appears to be working there as planned.

I converted the default.html to default.php and it looks good in DW.

Any suggestion? Thanks.

you need some code from this i suggest you watch the screen cast and look at some of the code in it

That helped. Now the page is seeing the CSS just fine. Many thanks.

Now I have some specific questions. For example, when installed into C5, some of the blocks of text shifted down. I'm also wanting to get the nav to automatically update when I add a page (as the default theme does).

Any suggested reading?

when you publish the page it will automatically be added to the auto nav

Still working with this and have arrived at the conclusion that it might be best if I were to send the files to someone who can teach me a few things.

Anyone out there do that sort of thing?

Here's a specific problem I am working through now.

I have a simple template which is supposed to place the nav in three columns of three areas each. I set up each in its own div and I'm seeing that isn't going to work out.

Right now, only the first one is active. The others are just placement.

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Send me a PM.

I can always help converting a html/css template to c5 if that is what you need.

Cheers,

Thomas
