Page types not working in new concrete
Permalink 3 users found helpful
Hi Guys,
Just installed new concrete on test server and page types are not working at all.
I have chosen name and put correct handle (filename without .php) and nothing.
Cleared cache of both browser and concrete and still nothing!
Any ideas?

Hi 55webdesign,
I have used the theme before on the older concrete5, installed theme in themes directory.
Activated, copied and exiting page type and renamed. Added page type in concrete5 control panel, with page name for example services and set the handle also as services (as the file name is services.php).
Added a new page in concrete5 and set page type as services.
Changed HTML etc in the services.php file and refreshed webpage, no changes are reflected. Also cleared cache and refreshed, still no changes reflected. Seems to be reverting all to default.php??

Does the filename really contain a space before the dot? I don't think this to be a good idea...
Hi cgrauer,
I didn't leave a space this was me simply saying that in the handle i entered the files name (as in the actual file name in explorer) but without the .php bit on the end.

If you go to 'Dashboard->Themes' and 'Inspect' your theme, is the 'services' page listed?
I find it easier to add page types by just uploading my new template file to my theme's root and inspecting my theme to add the new page type.

Is there a public URL we could have a look at?
Same problem with me. After the update only the first page of my website loads correctly.
The other pages, with other themes and page types, are sort of missing the css file, they are "White and text".
I noticed that when I clear from the dashboard the page caches these "no-css" pages start working, but only once. If I reload them they become White again.

Thank you! That worked! ;)
