file not found error

my whole site seems to work except the register and login pages. when you try and access these pages from the site i get this error

File not found. All themes need default.php and view.php files in them. Consult concrete5 documentation on how to create these files.

the bit between File and not is supposed to tell you the file name that is missing but its blank.
