purchased theme transfer

Hello,

I had purchased a theme for a client site the client no longer has the site is it possible to associate this paid them to another site since the client site is no longer up?

Yes, as long as it is only used on one site the name of the site is irrelevant.

You should also consider who owns the license. Is it you or the client? If it is the client who bought the license through you, then legally the client owns the license.
