Refund on unused/unusable theme

A friend purchased a Concrete5 theme "Legal Tender"- at my urging - that did not install and neither he nor I received a direct response for help from the developer on several attempts at contact.
Since the theme was unused/unusable, how does he receive a "refund".
He purchased via credit card.

He is pretty active member of the community. I can assure you he's not just some scam artist. It's possible he missed the notification of the support ticket or something similar.

I just received a note from Wendall. I never had any support requests. I always will help people install their themes if they have a problem.

FWIW, I recently stopped receiving forum email notifications, so I PM'd Julia at C5 (as instructed by Franz) about the issue. Apparently their email logs showed a delivery error on one occasion from several weeks ago which prevented further email deliveries. Andrew worked some magic, and all is well now. My main concern was that I might also be missing notifications about support requests. Anyway, I'm not saying that's the issue here, but it might be worth looking into.

I don't receive any email notifications beyond pm's either. That's why I suggested he pm him. I started a thread on the Leaders Board about it and @Mnkras said he had the same issue. Franz responded to it and that was a little while ago. I think it's broken for a lot of people. Probably has to do with the switch over to Sendgrid.
Knowing the theme/add-on approval process, I doubt very much that something which doesn't install could make it into the market place.
