Rigid bold and Rigid light , I miss something?

I do not want to create any case here but honestly I feel a bit disappointed,
I recently buy the theme Rigid Bold for 40$ and now I discover the same theme for free?!
Same features all included all in less then 1 month from the publication of rigid bold theme,
I really appreciated that the author wish to release the theme for free but see all this and the price of my theme drop by 50% in less than a month let me feel as a customer a bit cheated.
Honestly I will prefer a refund in this circumstances .

Yea i find that a bit odd. Refund is probably a great idea in my mind. But i would need to see the refund policy to know if its able to do so.
Well just as an example,
You buy a tv for $1000,
next month, its $500
same thing here, it happens

But what about the thing with 2 addons but same exact features. But one is free. What happens there in these policies?
Free one they have to give you support in 2 weeks, paid, 2 days.

Not sure if they have a SLA regarding the support ,
however I prefer to have paid support chooses than just find out that my investment (high or low is not important now) just drop down to 0 in less than 30 days.
However my intent is to show that such politics could not be the way to promote products in the marketplace.
off course anyone is free to proceed in the way he wish.
from my perspective I just loose 40$. not the best if you try to make some customer base.
