Separate Header Homepage from other pages

With the Stucco theme, I want to separate the header from the homepage from the other pages. Is that possible? If I place an image in the header on another page, then I also see it on the front page. How do I do that? Thank you for your help

You'd have to create a secondary header.php file just for the homepage with different areas and then include that in the homepage template.

This direction is making some assumptions about the theme, but should work if the theme was built like most are.
