Via add your own CSS
#footer span.sign-in { display: none; }

I cannot seem to find that folder

I am using the HostGator cPanel

Am uncertain if I should go into

File Manager or Legacy File Manager?

and then from there - there are 4 options to choose from

Home Directory
Web Root
Public Ftp
Document Root for my website

I think 12345j is suggesting you log into your C5 dashboard not your hosting cPanel.

if you want to do it with cpanel its more complicated, you'd go to root/concrete/themes and copy default to root/themes. then go to root/themes/default/elements/footer.php and remove the lines that reference sign in.

Issue solved -

there is no reference to the "sign in to edit this site" at the bottom of the page by adding

#footer span.sign-in { display: none; }

into the Add CSS in the Dashboard in the Customize section of the theme

Thanks!
