Single license vs Developer?

What's the difference when you buy a theme and it's either single vs developer?
For my themes athttp://www.c5mix.com a Single Use license allows you to use the theme on one site/domain. If you want to use it again on another site/domain you need to buy it again. A Developer's license allows you to use the theme on an unlimited amount of sites/domains without having to purchase the theme again and again.
Yeah, the themes at c5mix were the ones I was talking about.
BTW - I'm liking the new one you put up yesterday, looks very cool.
Anyway, so what if I buy the $25 single-use one, like it so much I want to use it again, could I pay the $50 difference and convert it to a developers license?
