Some adjustments needed

Hi,
The cleaview theme by itself looks very nice (to my opinion) which is why spent some bucks on it. The are however a few things that I would lik to change, but can't seem to find how. I have put my 3 main questions in 1 screenshot for explanation
1. over width of the website
2. center the whole page
3. make the main window wider

Thanks; has to look around to see what you meant. Found it. Send the developer a message regarding the last issue: the footer file. All else is working now :)
Every theme that you download, downloads into the /themes/(name of them) folder. The way you would change these is ftp and go to the main folder of the theme you would like to change, then download main.css. (i suggest to make a copy before changes). This file as all the css of the theme. If you do not have any idea what I am talking about you might want to hire someone for this job or do some research into css (it is not too difficult). If you do look for #page or one of the first defines with the the width set to (number)px. Then you might have to play with it to get the perfect alignments that you want.
Hi, no that's not difficult, ftp works, and making a backup too. I've played a bit with the width as marked, but they do not make change (even after force-reload (shift reload)); maybe it stays in the cache, but the fact there's no preview facility doesn't help either
Theres a website cache at (website)/dashboard/ click on "Sitewide Settings" and towards the bottom there is a section "Speed Settings" which has "Clear Cache" towards the bottom. Also, There is a preview at (website)/dashboard/ and click on "Pages and Themes" and all your themes should appear with each one has the second button of "Preview". Let me know if you still cant get it to work
Thanks; have the preview functionality now :) fiddling with a lot of settings; starting to look better (eventhough a bit more intuitive wysiwyg interface would have been nice :) ).
LOL that would be nice, but seeing how concrete5 you can already change colors of the css, I am pretty sure something will come around in the next few years. But I am glad I could help and got it working. Also if fiddling around alot, you might want to save several copies of the file. I know sometimes I make a change and then I test and like it. Then make several changes, and hate it, and forget what I did. Just a word to the wise. : )
I think so :) Making copies is always a good idea; the biggest error is the human being behind the keyboard ;)
That said... Clearview is a static page width (960px?)and does center better on smaller monitors. The background itself expands as needed. You could modify the theme's CSS to accommodate the size changes you are looking for, but then smaller/narrower screens would need to scroll left-right to view the entire page.
Otherwise, maybe one of the Fluid width themes in the marketplace along with a modified background (see using "backstretch" add-on) would work easier for you?
