Stripes Theme fails to accept "Add Block"

I installed the Stripes Theme, after upgrading to 5.6.2, and when I did, it causes my site to crash, and along with that, the theme seems not to want to accept the addition of a block.
The error I get with my site crashing, is an indication of some sort of permissions error.
Any help with this, would be greatly appreciated.
