Themes Compatible with Concrete5-8.3.2

I did a brand new clean install of Concrete5-8.3.2 today, then I downloaded and (tried) to install 7 different free themes. 3 of them worked just fine, and 4 did not, even though all of them said they were "Compatible with 8". This makes me not want to actually spend money on a theme. I'm not trying to cause any problems or start anything here, I'm just frustrated with the broken state of things. I spent hours on this today and got nowhere, I can provide the names of themes that worked and those that didn't.
I don't mind paying for a good theme to save myself some time and effort, but please be aware that if you are offering a free theme and it's broken, then people are not likely to trust that your paid versions will not be broken too.
Having said that, I'm still looking for at least one good theme that is totally compatible with Concrete5-8.2.3. I am looking for the ability to change theme colors, use a background image, and use Google fonts. I don't mind buying a theme.
I have my eye on Pixel 2 - the demo was generated on concrete5-8.3.2 so it should work. I looked at Fundamental but the demo was generated on concrete5-5.7.4.2 so I question whether the theme is actually up to date.
Any and all feedback on themes that are currently working in concrete5-8.3.2 would be greatly appreciated!

Personally I have never used a theme in the store since I develop custom themes. But I will say that is take time and energy to create these themes and often us developers don't have to time to update them to every new C5 version that comes out.
That being said if you can't find what you are looking for I would be more then glad to help you build a custom theme.

I can see where contacting the developer directly would be useful, if there is no reply or limited support that tells me a lot going forward. I am not anticipating needing a lot of hand-holding but I also don't want to be left with broken web sites if the theme is suddenly not compatible with an update. I'm not a web developer any more and don't want to spend a lot of time troubleshooting a theme so I would expect that a paid-for theme would have a little support to go along with it.

Probably a developer did not know that theme [x] didn't work with version [y] of concrete5, since not everyone updates to every new version (just because things work OK, or don't want new bugs or just don't have the time etc. etc.).
