Themes on try
Permalink
I wonder why you can not try the different themes on our site, rather than having to pay a lot of money for something that does not work!
I have paid 3 themes that I have not been able to use because something in the theme did not work. I'm tired of having to spend so much money. The themes are cheap to buy if you only need to buy one, but when you have to get up and buy 3-4 themes before there is one that works for me, then it becomes much money!
I bought instance. Skyline, and it can not handle the pages in the drop down menu, which makes the theme unusable for me!
Is there no way to test themes without having to pay!? and then pay a day later or a week later?
- Thank you
Ben

I did see the "Pre-sale questions" option,
So you are saying that i should ask about everything, even when it stands it works! !?
fx. i bought the Theme Skyline, and in the "see live" option, and then the drop down menu worked fine! but when i got it, it doesn't work ! you can look by your self, the second level subpage in the drop down doesn't work !
And by the way, what a lame reference, about the restaurant! it make no sense in this topic!

Well if a theme shows something in the demo url, it should work like that. Maybe you are missing some settings to make it work like that. The best approach is to contact the theme developer through "Support" section. The theme developer is agreed to give free support for one month after selling it.
And regarding the restaurant, its just an example.

I would back up what Rony is saying, your first course of action should be to check the documentation, is there a custom template that you need to apply for the drop down nav? have you set up the auto nav block to display the correct number of levels? check that out first.
As a purchaser of an add-on or theme you are entitled to 30 days free support, so If you still cant get it to work, your next course of action is to contact the developer with a support request, looking at the reviews of Skyline it seems the developer has a good track record with answering her support requests well, so you should receive good advice on how to fix your issue.

Regarding your "theme try before buy" concept, I'm giving you a real life example. Suppose you go to a restaurant and order some dishes. There might few dishes that you are well aware of but some others are not. So the only way is to ask the waiter about those dishes before placing the order. There is no way that you can try the dish before order.
