Trouble with Concrete 5 Theme Colour

Permalink 2 users found helpful
Hi,
I am a newbie to this with basic HTML knowledge. I purchased a theme c5-product and I am trying to change the theme colour to green and the words c5-product in the header. I have gone into the customise theme area and changed the theme but it never updates!
Be great if you could help ASAP?

Also I have tried emptying the cache but that did not work.

Well there is a few ways to do this.

If your theme is customizable simply login to the your dashboard and click on the themes link from there chose your theme and click customize.

Now if it isnt customizable I suggest that you either use google chrome or firebug (firefox extension) and find the actual heading color (just to be on the safe side) it will tell you which line of the css to edit.

Now the css files can be in a few different places depending on your actual theme. If it's a theme that came with concrete5 it will be in the themes directory under the /concrete folder.

If it is a marketplace theme it will be in the /packages folder.

Hope that helps.

Looks like the bug is still there. Is there a workaround, short of manually editing the files? (e.g., is there a "super-user rebuild site" button or anything?)

UPDATE: I was able to force a site refresh by going to Dashboard > Sitewide Settings and doing the following:
1. Under the "speed settings" widget, disable the "basic cache" and press the update button.
2. Clear the cache (using the clear cache button)
3. At this point my customizations showed up. I re-enabled the cache and it seems to be working fine. (Make sure you empty your browser's cache, too!)
