Trouble with new theme

I was using dark chocolate for my theme. Today, I purchased Interactive Black and downloaded and installed it. But it pretty much looks like the dark chocolate, except for the interactive drawing ability on the background. How do I get my page to look more like the screenshots in the marketplace??
Add an auto nav block to nav area, and than click it again and add custom template, pick the template that seems right, interactive nav or something like that. Download simple slider and throw some pictures in a fileset, than set that up. Write some words, and make some pages ????
