uhuru theme installation problems
Permalink
Hi would really like some help with installation of this theme (purchased herehttp://themeforest.net/item/uhuru-responsive-multipurpose-concrete5... I have followed the instructions that come with it correctly I think. I placed the files/ folders in Packages folder into Packages from within File Manager. I placed the files in single_pages into single_pages in file manager. I then installed the theme along with Sortable Fancybox Gallery & Whale Nivo Image Slider from within Add Functionality. At this point I notice there are no thumbnails to these items. After installation and activation all I get is a completely white screen, I can use the Concrete5 edit buttons but there is nothing to edit as it is all blank. If anyone could advise me I would be very grateful.
I will add that I want to use this theme on a Addon domain with it’s own folder and database, and it is in this folder that I have placed the files, not in the main website package folders.
I have attached the installation instructions that came with the theme. This is my first time installing so please be careful with me ;)

Thank you for replying Adrian, I have looked at the Inspect Theme list and and every one reads
Action To Take - None. This file will automatically be used by the Right Sidebar page type.
I will contact the author as you suggest.

I am wondering if you have confused the c5 filemanager and file groups with the underlying filesystem.
The instructions for manually installing a packaged theme or addon refer to the underlying filesystem.

Thank you for reply John, I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean sorry
Themes from the marketplace on this site will auto-install, so you don't need to know any of that.
As the theme is from theme forest, the best place to ask for detailed help is from the theme developer on the theme forest support pages.

Did you remember to take the step "inspect pages"? If the page types its trying to load are not the default layouts, they may not appear until you go to Dashboard > Pages & Themes > Themes > select Inspect after the Uhuru theme. View the page list then displayed and follow any directions that may show to activate.
To my knowledge, Themeforest themes are not inspected and approved by the peer review board of C5 so you may be more likely to run across potential problems. If the page inspection doesn't work, your best bet is to contact the author through Themeforest.
Hope this helps :)
Adrian
