This issue has already been fixed. Messages now show up for both marketplace versions.

It doesn't actually work for me, unless I am looking in the wrong place. In 5.6, I can put a universal message (e.g. about discounts etc.) and it will appear above the theme thumbnail in the marketplace. In 5.7 the message doesn't appear - unless I am looking in the wrong place. I have to put messages in 5.7 on the theme page manually.

In 5.6 it appears in the column. In 5.7, it spreads across the whole width, so is less obvious unless you write a long message.

I wonder if possibly it only works for add ons and not themes at the moment. Or maybe mine is just not working. I have a universal message about discounts in the "Universal Marketplace Item Message" under my Profile > my Add ons and Themes. It shows in 5.6 but not in 5.7. I searched in the html of a 5.7 theme page and the content is definitely not there. Not a problem, would just be more convenient than entering things manually.

To make it stand out more, it's possible to edit the HTML and put custom formatting.

I think pilipala is right: the message does not work for 5.7 themes.

For instance, PineCreativeLabs seems to have a universal message visible on all marketplace items, except for 5.7 themes:

Apologies for my silence - I've asked the concrete5 team so waiting to hear if it is working yet. That would suggest it is not just me then :)

The concrete5 team have updated this and it's working now.
