5.6 video block not working

Has anyone used this recently? I've tried using an avi file and an mpg file - both accepted formats according to the block docs. In the first instance the file downloads when the page loads; in the second instance the block just says 'This plugin is not supported'. I should note that my c5 install is up to date and I don't have any JS console errors.

I am pretty sure that this block uses Flash, so it could be that your browser doesn't have Flash installed and that's why you're getting the plugin error.
