Access Denied for Editing

I just went in to do some minor editing on my website and consistently get Access Denied on every block.
Additionally I cannot get my blog to show up on the News Bar-
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Only other person with access is the woman who built the site five years ago, and disappeared about 3 years ago-
I did try the logging in for two weeks- that kept me logged in (the other way I just got booted out when I tried to edit a page)

I did not knowingly change any permissions....I am not very good at this stuff though, so may have inadvertently done something
Does anyone else have admin rights to your site ?
Did you change any permissions on your site ?
Do you get logged out when you try to edit ? Try to login with 'Stay signed in for two weeks ' selected.
