Accessing theme css

Newbie alert. How do you access the css files for the yogurt theme? I want to change the menu font colour from the default grey.

concrete > themes > default > typography.css
In the same directory is also the main.css file.

I'm pretty sure that if you upgrade your c5 install those files will be overwritten. Either keep a copy or create new files in themes > default (not sure if that works, but worth a shot).
