Add one column block
Permalink
Hello everybody,
I am new to concrete5, I am managing a client's website. I want to add a wide one column block underneath the two columns layout. Is that possible? There is already a one column block ABOVE the two columns, but I can't copy that but even if I could I could just slip it into left or right section, how can I add a new block? Is that even possible? thank you so much anybody who would help.

It sounds like you're going to need to add an area to the page. What version of C5 is the site? What theme and page type are you using?
Hi Hutman,
thank you so much for answering:)) So, I found out the version is 5.6.3.3.
About the theme and page type I am really not sure, because when I go to themes, there is one active which was I think tailor-made for the website. It was made by an agency. I know that the only option might be to ask them, since they created the theme, but I was wandering if I am maybe missing something and there is an easy way how to add another block row.

Unfortunately with 5.6 there probably isn't. However if you have access to FTP for the site you should be able to do it fairly easily (with a little guidance). Do you have FTP or SSH access to the server?
Hi Hutman,
I dont have FTP access.. even if I had I would rather not try it probably :D I am not much of a coder. We found another solution meanwhile, so it is ok. Thank you so much for the help, definitely helped! Now I know I was not stupid :D thanks again.
