when you logged into the dashboard, navigate to the page you want your new page to be under. There is a button on the top navigation that allows you to add a page, you select the page type, fill out what you want and select ok at the bottom. You will then be presented with a blank page and you can add content there.

Also, if you go to dashboard - site map, select page you want your new page to fall under, click the page (single click) and a pop-up will have selections to give you the things you want such as add a page.

Not sure how that could have happened.

Couple of questions.

1. Is this your first time using C5?
2. Are you a graphics person or more dev?
3. Are you wanting multi-lingual?

The add page should present you with a blank page. You can get your new pages pre-loaded with your header (auto-nav and stuff) by editing your defaults on your page in the themes/single pages area of the dashboard along with copying things into your scrapbooks. Then you can add stuff to a page using the copy from scrapbook functionality.
