Added domain to hosting package, can't log in to back end
Permalink
hi there guys, can anyone help with this? we had a hosting package but not a domain yet so we used an IP to access and log in (IP/~sitename) to the c5 site while we were building it, now we have linked up the domain but if you click on sign in from the page that's on the domain it takes you to an admin page but the log in doesn't work, you can only access it via the IP/~sitename, what gives?
i guess i have to change a setting somewhere but i can't seem to find it...
RESOLVED: change RewriteBase to / instead of the old /sitename/. Thanks C5 IRC channel! :)

Check the settings in your config folder, site.php file. Your Hosting provider should be able to assist you and give you the correct settings for that.
all i see there is database information which has remained the same, i guess i'm looking for a file to change the site's path, where could i find that?
btw, i added BASE_URL but it doesn't fix the problem, C5 still thinks the site is at domain/~sitename rather than the domain root (the files are in the root folder, there was just no domain attached to it before)
EDIT: and now i can't log in to the IP/~sitename either, it redirects me to domain/~sitename and my log in doesn't work... :/
