adding a second page

I'm using hostmonster.com to host my site.

I've created my main page and i select add page. when i go back to my home page, and click on the link to the second page i get an error.

suggestions?

Its a problem with mod_rewrite or pretty urls on your website. If you goto yourdomain.com/index.php/services the page loads up. Do you have the .htaccess file in place correctly ?

You might want to disable pretty urls while you are building your site initially. Though it looks like it is a problem with the rewrite engine on your setup.

I am a beginner. I don't know what the .htaaccess file is nor do i know how to place it. I assumed the program automatically would di it.

You need to check pretty urls in the dashboard. It tells you what to do. You need to make a .htaccess file, put the stuff it tells you in the file. Save it, put it in you installations root.
