Adding A Title

Hi all!

New to Concrete 5. Trying to copy the 'Exclusive Offers' title from this home page -http://freebets4u.ie/test so I can place it on the blog pages. I can't find how they added it to show how it does and don't have FTP access. There doesn't appear to be anything in the editor options that provides any clues.

Any suggestions please?

You can copy and paste blocks throughout your site. When you edit your page, click on the block that you want to copy. On the menu that appears, select "Copy to Clipboard".

Then, go the page(s) you want to paste the block to. In edit mode, select the area that you want to put the block into. When you do so, a menu will appear - choose the "Paste from Clipboard" option, the simply select the block.

From here, you can edit the block if you need.

Thanks for the reply!

Already tried that but it's just pasting the text, not the background pattern for the headlines.

Looks like your using layouts and you may have have styled it using your main.css line 369. If you want to replicate this then use the same background on your other pages.

Project was designed by somebody else and has been handed to me to rectify. As mentioned, I don't have FTP access but seems very likely this is the solution. First time I've used Concrete 5.

Unlikely, I know - but any other suggestions within the Concrete 5 CMS? Adding via the HTML editor + replicating code in HTML editor?

In a case like this, it may be the path of least resistance to create a new block(s) as a stack in your dashboard that look the same as your home page area. In my experience: Copy the original block content from the HTML view in your editor to ensure its replicated the same... then do any background formatting by selecting "Design" instead of "Edit" from the block drop-down.
Once you save and approve the stack it can be placed anywhere (including a page type layout)

Hope this helps
