adding blocks

I am trying to add an image to my site that is not provided by Greek Yogurt template. the one I want is narrow and won't extend to cover the width of the page and I end up with half a page of blank nothingness. I would like to use the smaller image, and then add a new block to the right of it, and insert some text. Can someone tell me how to do that?

select the Add to header image > Add Layout. Create your layout as 2 cols . Add a image block to your left column and a content block to your right col. You can adjust the withs of the cols to suit the scale of the picture.
