Could someone try to explain how to add buttons to slider images? The Attributes Slider addon demonstrates this. Or it doesn't even necessarily have to be images in a slider, it could just be a single static image. I've seen numerous websites that have images with text converted to a button located somewhere on the image. How do you make the button and then how can that button alone contain a link, while the image as whole doesn't?

I'm sure I did a poor job of explaining what I'm looking for, but any help would be appreciated.
