adding custom script

Hi,

I need to ad a short line of script that someone gave me for an online chat plugin for the site.

I'm new to concrete5 and can't seem to find what I am looking for to add the script code.

can you help?

I tried to see if the blocks might help, but doesn't look like I have the permission. I also don't have access to their FTP site.

Any suggestions?

The only place I could find is maybe adding it under the Tracking code, but worried that might stop the google tracking and it might not work.

Thanks,

Robyn

If you're just trying to add some JavaScript then you could use an HTML block to place it on the page. You may want to code it into your theme files though so it can't be deleted by accident.

thanks for this. I had a quick look to see if I could add an HTML block but I dont think I can. Also it's not page specific, it is for the whole site.

The instructions i got are:

1. Copy the code above and paste it between the <body> </body> tags of the page on the website. To keep things organized, add the code either just after the first <body> or just before the last </body>. -----

2) We recommend you add the code to all website pages; however at a minimum add it to the key pages like the landing page, home page and contact page.

3) Note that once you add the code to the page, you will not see any visible change to the page in the browser. Once we start the chat monitoring the chat invitation will start appearing on that page.
