adding meta code- where? Meta data won't save

I have added meta data into the meta boxes but google displays the very old & out of date data from subpages on my site.. save the 2 for the main page with meta descriptiuons that say, "sign in to edit this site" from a few weeks ago-
anyway, looking for the place to put robot code but cannot find it. used yogurt theme. Tried changing cache & I am also a beginner. Done! (enough)(Mthanks)

Sounds like GoogleBot just doesn't visit those pages very often.

Verify that the meta tags are updated in the page's source code, then setup your site with Google Webmaster Tools and use "Fetch as Google" (only do this once per page).

You should also create and submit a sitemap using Webmaster Tools.
