Adding page at the same level of my actual position

Hi all!

So, my goal is to allow my client to edit the news section of the site, which can be clicked on the main menu. This news page as the first child page atribute, to jump to the most recent one. Because of this, any new pages added will be subpages of the most recent page.

I could add the page via sitemap, but I´m trying streamline the experience for the client.

Is there an obvious solution (or not!) I´m missing? Addon? Code? Something?

Cheers!
Pedro

Is this possible?

Thanks in advance,

To add a page at the same level, you would normally go to the parent of the page and add a page from there, which becomes a child of the parent, and hence a sibling of your original page.

So what you´re telling is, if the parent page redirects to first child page, it means I cannot add a new page to that parent page, unless I´ll do it in the dashboard > sitemap. Am I reading this correctly?

I have not tried it, but your interpretation appears to be correct.

Thanks for your reply, John, thought I find it odd no one else came across this situation. It should be a recurring thing for those who use the atribute "Page auto redirect" or any equivalent addon.

My focus here is to simplify the management of content for the end client. As it is, he/she must jump between interfaces, just to add a new page.

Can anyone point to a workaround or any solution to this?

Thanks
Pedro
