Adding Photos

I am having trouble uploading photos to the file manager. Whenever I try to upload, it creates an error message saying that it is the wrong extension. I am trying to upload jpeg and jpg photos. What am I doing wrong? HELP!
Which version of concrete do u use?
I have only one guess:
You have not specified that that file extension can be uploaded. Go to 'System & Settings' to 'Allowed File Types' and then enter the type of file you are trying to upload. Then try uploading it again.
Are you able to upload other file types? Do you have the right permissions?
