Adding a playlist for videos

Was wondering if there is a way to add a playlist to video/audio players with the default blocks?

I'd like to have a page with the video player empty in the main area, and a list down the sidebar that can be selected which would start the video player in the main area.

Did you ever figure this out? I'm planning to do something similar.

I was thinking it might work if I put a list summary of a file group on the page, and customize the links to open the player in a lightbox. But I haven't started yet, so I can't tell you if that will definitely work.
