Hi
I am hoping someone has seen the same issue as me. I am using Advanced Permissions to set permission by Page Type defaults.
In every area on the page I have set permission so that a particular group are only able to add a few blocks. It is working for most areas on my page are fine how ever I have a couple of areas I have set the permissions and these are not reflected when editing the page as a user in the defined group.
Does anyone have any experience of a similar issue? If so did you manage to fix it?

I also struggled with this for some time and as it turns out I had different permissions set in page type defaults and in the sitemap.
Just been through this also...
Specifically in the sitemap you need to set the permissions of the page to "By Page Type Defaults".
Through the sitemap you can also set pages to be created under a specific page to always inherit page type defaults permissions rather than inherit permissions from its parent.
