Advanced Permissions not allowing fileset access
Permalink 1 user found helpful
I recently created a group and gave full permission for the group to access the sitemap and the file manager. Yet every time they go to sitemap or file manager it says 'You do not have access to the file manager'. Not sure what i'm doing wrong, i set the permissions through the sitemap showing system pages.
Any help would be great, also when i add then to the admin group they can access everything no problems.
Thanks

The sitemap cant be changed in settings with advance permissions active. But file manager did the trick which was the important thing anyway.

Quick question, jazzy. Did your installation as a 5.6.x or earlier?
I'm trying to find a solution to a similar File/Advanced Permissions issue, in which my site started as a 5.4.x site, which had radically different File Manager permissions config.
End result is that most users can only see a very select set of images either on-site or in the manager, even though all the images are there, and the super-admin can see them.
Not sure how to restore accessibility on these, hoping it's related to your issue.

There should be the following menu items there:
File Manager Permissions
Task Permissions
Under those two menu items you can change the permissions for the File manager and the Sitemap.
Changing it on other locations doesn't work.
