After clicking the edit button, it moves down the nav so I can't click on add to main

When I click on edit page button it pushes my nav bar down so it covers up the add to main area (on a new page).

I tried to pad the bar (where the edit button is), but that didn't help.

I don't care if I need to do something similar, I don't care if the edit bar has to shift or move, I would prefer not to edit my header.php etc
