I am using advanced permissions. I have created a new user and new group. My goal is to enable certain users write access to certain pages.
The new user has read access on all pages and write on a few.
When I sign in as the new user, it says on the login screen. If I go back to the main page on the website (which this user has rw permissions on), the edit button, etc is not on top.
I have a userid with full admin rights that can sign in just fine.
Anu ideas on what I am doing wrong?

As for the edit button not showing up, the knee-jerk answer is ensure they have write access, but also make sure permissions are inheriting properly. Start at the home page and work your way down checking if the pages part of the path to the problem page are using "Area of site", "Page Type" or "Manually" and whether the "Sub pages added beneath this page" option isn't conflicting either.
