Another question regarding the Site Name

So I'm trying to get rid of it and accidently deleted the original Global Block. I Made another one and named it My_Site_Name with no text in it but the name still appears in the top left corner anyways. What am I doing wrong here? Did deleting the original mess everything up?

Thank You!

Tried clearing the cache under 'sitewide settings'?

There are quite a few forum entries on this subject which you can search. Not sure what theme you are using which makes a difference. However, if you are lucky, you could upload an image to the global scrapbook (from file manager) and name it 'My_Site_Name'. While most folks use logos you can use a blank gif or png or a jpg the same color as your back ground (very small size) and have nothing.

I cleared the Cache yep. I actually think the issue is that I am using the Simple Blue Template, I looked further into it and apparently I'll have to modify the code.

Did you give my possible "lucky" solution a try? Just as a note, the soon release C5 of 5.5 promises to make this ordeal easier!

Did you delete the global scrapbook itself or just the site-name block? If it was just the block and you have created it again; have you tried adding some alternative text into it to see if it shows up?

I want to thank everybody for their help. In terms of the "lucky" solution I actually do want to make a logo/ fancier title to put there so I'll have to find a way around it.

Its the fact that its a downloaded template that is causing this. I'm sure I can find somebody that knows code to tweak a few things and spruce up the top for me.

This is a great community. Thank you for your input!
