Anyone know of an content slideshow add-on

I'm looking for the ability to showcase content from a particular section of my site with something like a slideshow.
Is there a way to create a slideshow that pulls content from a section of your site the same way a page-list does?
For example.. If I have a section on recipes.. I'd like to create a slideshow that goes from one recipe to another showing a picture of the recipe and the page description.
To see an example of what I'm trying to create go tohttp://www.belloladies.com. The slideshow on the homepage is pulling from a section of the website and automatically shows the content from that section.
If nothing like that exists.. Can someone at least point me in the direction of a content slideshow that will show both images and text?

It's actually two (light and dark) templates for the page list block that pulls back the page title and description and an image that you associate with the page via a custom attribute.
It's pretty easy to customize via CSS as far as the colors/style. Let me know if you have any questions about it.
