Apply page as a template

Hello,

somehow I don't grasp the logic of c5 templates and pages - yet.

I need a template with a superfish menu, but cannot add or "customize" it in the Pages and Themes dialog. Theme does not seem to equal Template. So I sarted customizing the default theme's home page.

Editing the home page, adding the superfish menu, it shows now in the Pages and Themes the way I want (well, in edit mode, the page looks a bit strange). Other pages look different.
How can I apply the same style to all pages?

Thanks!

The "customize" themes feature is only for changing some fonts and colors. What you want to do (add a block to every page) is done via "Page Defaults" -- go to Dashboard -> Pages and Themes -> Page Types, and click the "Defaults" button next to the page type you want to add this to (need to repeat for all page types if you want it on all kinds of pages).

Thanks, Jordanlev. That was the info I was looking for. Still scrambling to find a step by step designer's guide of c5.
Documentation seems either for beginners or advanced developers.

Still battling with the c5 logic.
Question:
The header autonav block is 250px.

I want to add a 750px wide superfish centered at the bottom of the header and a right aligned manual nav at the very top of the header.

How do I proceed best - changing the width and position of the whole autonav in main.css and try to align the manual nav via css?

The blocks themselves do *not* have specific widths. They will shrink and grow depending on how many items they contain. This is not a C5 issue but rather a CSS one -- you need to design your layout to accomodate whatever widths and heights you desire. Usually you put a div around each of the areas where the nav menus would go and set your styles on that.

Thanks, Jordanlev.
Added another block and things go better now, everything shows on all pages. If you know any step-by step guide for c5, please let me and others know.
I am doing very well on WordPress and Genesis, but can't seem to figure it out here.
