The page versions dialog shows each version's "approver" but "approver" does not appear when searching the help site or forums!

My question is, I would like some users to be able to edit pages but not "approve" for publishing. How can I do this?

And then do what, to achieve approver/non approver groups?

Will this impact non-admin users?

Is it safe to do on a large existing site?

Where's the documentation on advanced permissions? I've looked but couldn't find it...
